OFFICE ACTIONRESPONSE
OFFICE ACTIONRESPONSE

Optimize your time and your margin.

The same clerical hour on every Office Action: caption block, claim listing, an opening under every rejection. None of it is legal work.

Skeleton does it while you read the action.

How it works

1Upload the Office Action

The PDF straight from Patent Center. Scans work too.

2Add your last filing, once

The previous response or the claims as filed. Skeleton carries every claim forward with the right status identifier.

3Download, then argue

A Word document with the caption, the claim listing and your opening under every rejection. The rest is yours.

What you get

Written the way you write

Set your opening paragraph for each ground once, as ordinary sentences. Every response uses it, with the claim numbers and references filled in.

Status identifiers on every claim

Original, Currently Amended, Withdrawn, Canceled — carried forward from your last filing. Get one wrong and the amendment is held non-compliant.

The caption block

Number, examiner, art unit, confirmation number, filing date — and the right rule, §1.111 or §1.116, for a final or non-final action.

Every rejection answered in place

One heading per statute, an opening paragraph for each rejection under it, and [Add Arguments Here] where your argument goes.

Pricing

One Office Action, one document back. Monthly, or $74 for a single Skeleton.

Questions

Does it write the arguments?
No. Where judgment is needed you get a highlighted placeholder. That's on purpose. Nobody at your firm should have to defend an argument a piece of software wrote.
Does it track my response deadlines?
No. We don't show reply periods, calculate due dates or send reminders. Extensions, weekends and Track One all change the answer. Your docketing system already handles that, and it should keep handling it.
What if it misreads the Office Action?
It reads the action as pages, so it sees which boxes on the form are actually checked rather than guessing from the printed labels. Every quote it relies on is matched back against the PDF, and the page tells you if one can't be found. The action opens beside the response in one click, and nothing is filed without an attorney reading it.
